The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
N° 16 Flor Exótica arrived in 2021 as part of the Aguas Intensas collection. The name says it plainly: an exotic flower, feminine and tropical, wrapped in richness. Rose and magnolia together carry a specific kind of sensuality, velvety, not fragile. The kind that doesn't need permission. Together they create a lush, enveloping presence that feels both familiar and surprising. Magnolia brings a creamy, almost waxy softness that grounds the fragrance, while rose adds a dusty, petal depth that keeps things interesting rather than sweet. The combination feels indulgent without being heavy, a tropical warmth that lingers close to the skin.
What makes the structure interesting is how the fruity top resists the obvious path. Blackcurrant brings a tart, almost wine-like depth that keeps the opening from reading as sweet. That bergamot underneath, the citrus bite, prevents the whole thing from settling into something soft too early. Meanwhile, the heart's pink pepper isn't a heat spike. It's a whisper. A slight lift that makes the magnolia and rose feel less like a garden and more like a moment caught between afternoon and evening. The chocolate base doesn't read as dessert. It reads as warmth that knows how to stay close.
The evolution
The opening hits tart and bright, blackcurrant's wine-dark sweetness backed by citrus. Bergamot keeps it cool for the first twenty minutes while the red fruits lean into something rounder. Then the handoff: magnolia sweeps in, creamy and wide, followed by rose that doesn't overpower but adds a dusty, petal depth. Pink pepper arrives quietly, a slight warmth that lifts the florals without changing the register. By hour two, the composition settles. Musk emerges first, then patchouli grounds everything into something intimate and woodsy. Vanilla and chocolate follow, creating a warm, slightly sweet linger that stays close to the skin. The drydown doesn't project, it whispers. What begins as a bright, fruity burst gradually softens into something more intimate. The citrus and blackcurrant that open the composition recede, leaving space for the florals to breathe.
Cultural impact
N° 16 Flor Exótica brings a fruity-floral warmth that feels more sensual than a straightforward citrus-and-green profile. The composition opens with bright, wine-dark blackcurrant and citrus, then moves into creamy magnolia and dusty rose at the heart. A quiet warmth from pink pepper lifts the florals without shifting the overall register. By the time the drydown arrives, vanilla and chocolate create a warm, slightly sweet linger that stays close to the skin. The fragrance has a gentle presence that feels inviting rather than imposing.
