The evolution

The first twenty minutes belong to mint and citrus, a sharp, clean opening that announces itself and then steps back. Lemon and tangerine provide the brightness; the sage underneath prevents anything from becoming sweet. Around the thirty-minute mark the heart opens: galbanum and rosemary introduce a bitter-green note that shifts the energy from fresh to grounded. The rosemary is the tell, it lingers while everything else moves. By hour two, the base takes over. Vetiver and oakmoss create the fougère signature, that classic mossy-woody drydown that defined 90s masculinity. The patchouli adds depth without sweetness.
