The beginning
Sergio Tacchini built the Experience line around a simple idea: connect sport and an adventurist spirit in a single olfactory world. Experience Discovery arrived in 2009 as part of that exploration-themed collection, a fragrance positioned as an olfactive passenger for journeys into unexplored wilderness. The brief was clear: citrus and herbs up top, exotic wood at the base, amber pulling it together. A fragrance about movement, discovery, and the kind of confidence that comes from earning your polish rather than inheriting it. You can feel the intentionality in the clean-lined ease of the composition, the athletic discipline of a scent that knows exactly where it's going.
The interesting move here is the eucalyptus-juniper-thyme heart. That's not a standard aromatic combo. Juniper especially brings that gin-and-pine-needle quality that sits somewhere between kitchen and forest. Paired with the bright citrus opening and the guaiac wood base, it creates a composition that reads as outdoorsy without feeling predictable. The combination of eucalyptus and juniper gives the middle a distinctive character, cool and crisp on one side, warm and peppery on the other. Thyme adds an herbal thread that keeps the whole thing from drifting into air freshener territory.
