The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Romantic Style arrived in 2025 as part of the Princesse Marina de Bourbon Style Collection, a floral-fruity eau de parfum composed by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis. Where some flank the archive with heavy orientals, this release tilts toward daylight. The composition reads less like a coronation and more like the first hour of an open window, a fluent, modern femininity expressed through fruit, white florals, and a clean skin-close base. There's no smoke, no oud, no leather throne to navigate here. The Style Collection lives in this register, accessible and immediate, offering a contemporary bouquet that doesn't demand translation. The name does the talking. Romantic Style is style with a lower case, earned rather than inherited, and the juice inside commits fully to that sensibility.
Ermenidis structures the composition around a yuzu-led citrus opening. Yuzu brings a sharper, almost bitter-green jolt that wakes the top notes out of any morning laziness. Blackcurrant and lychee sweeten that edge without tipping into candy territory, their syrupy fruit flesh tempered by the yuzu's clean acidity. Pear smooths the transitions with its quiet, watery body, lending a softening current between citrus and the floral wave about to arrive. The heart is a traditional white floral trio: freesia, lily of the valley, and lotus.
The evolution
The first ten minutes belong to yuzu. It arrives almost neon, a clean sour flash backed by the green tartness of blackcurrant. Lychee sits underneath, giving the opening a faint tropical sweetness that keeps the citrus from feeling austere. Pear rounds it all out, adding a watery fullness that softens the edges and bridges the jump from sharp citrus to softer fruit. By the thirty-minute mark the fruit begins to recede and the white florals take over the conversation. Freesia arrives first, peppery and dewy, its cool green stem opening the door. Lily of the valley follows close behind, sweet and slightly honeyed, carrying the heart for most of the middle hours with its bright green-sugared petals. Lotus drifts in and out, a cool aquatic whisper that keeps the bouquet from turning too dense or too heavy with white petals. There is no dramatic shift anywhere along the way.
Cultural impact
Romantic Style is a polished contemporary floral-fruity, and it wears with the kind of easy femininity that translates well into daily life. The Style Collection sits within that broader landscape of accessible, daytime-leaning florals, and this entry commits fully to the category without crossing into the sugary territory that flattens so many launches in the space. The composition reads as versatile and unintimidating, the kind of scent that feels equally appropriate in a morning meeting, an afternoon walk, or an early dinner with friends. It's a fragrance built to be worn comfortably rather than performed.
