The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
L'Amore arrived in 2018, and the name alone suggests a certain warmth. Perfumer Adilson Rato structured it around brightness first, citrus, pear, the sharp green of neroli, then let white flowers carry the weight. The idea was a fragrance that felt like warmth itself, not just scented like it. It's a lighter composition in the Floratta range, one that moves away from heavier accords toward something more luminous and approachable.
What makes this composition interesting is the gap between its parts. The citrus opening is sharp, almost cool, the kind of brightness that reads as morning. Then the heart, gardenia, jasmine sambac, magnolia, pushes in warm. Those two phases shouldn't coexist easily. But the Limoncello note adds another layer: it has a citrus quality but also a certain richness. L'Amore weaves bright and warm together, creating a fragrance that feels both energetic and inviting.
The evolution
The first moments announce everything. Bergamot, mandarin, pear, a citrus trio that smells bright and clean. Neroli adds something slightly green, almost herbal, keeping it from sliding into sweetness too fast. Around the halfway point, the florals arrive. Gardenia leads, jasmine follows, magnolia fills whatever space remains. It reads as warm, slightly sweet, almost lush. Cedar and sandalwood wait their turn. The citrus fades over time, and what remains is white florals over a soft woody base. Musk adds skin-close warmth. The base is the version that lingers, soft and sweet, like something remembered rather than announced.
Cultural impact
Floratta L'Amore occupies a specific niche: the affordable Brazilian fragrance that offers something bright and floral. It combines citrus traditions with floral warmth, creating something that feels both familiar and distinctly its own. For consumers, it's a domestic option that doesn't compromise on quality or sophistication. It represents a certain approach to scent that is bright, floral, and unapologetically warm.
