The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Accordes Lumière collection arrived in 2011, dedicated to womanhood. The perfumers approached Silver with a specific intention, capturing the quality of light itself. The Silver name pointed toward something metallic, cool, and bright on first encounter. The composition was designed to explore how light meets skin, creating a luminous sensation that lingers throughout the wear. It's a fragrance that balances cool metallic notes with warmth, creating an interplay between brightness and depth that feels both contemporary and timeless.
Accordes Lumière Silver uses a fruity-floral structure built on pear and Tiare. The composition incorporates benzoin, a resin that adds depth and complexity to the base. Warm notes blend with cooler facets to create balance. The green notes in the heart provide freshness and contrast. The overall effect is a fragrance that moves gracefully through its phases, revealing new dimensions as it develops on the skin.
The evolution
The opening arrives bright and immediate, grapefruit, bergamot, and mandarin orange burst onto the scene. The citrus creates an energetic start. Within moments, the florals begin to take over. Tiare flower is the star here, giving the heart a creamy quality that distinguishes it. Red berries add tartness that keeps the florals from becoming too heavy. Then the amber comes, building gradually, wrapping around the drydown until the florals soften. Benzoin and musk hold the final hours, warm and skin-close, lingering gently into the next day.
Cultural impact
Accordes Lumière Silver belongs to the 2011 Accordes Lumière collection, which was dedicated to womanhood. The dual-fragrance launch, Silver and Gold, offered two distinct approaches to luminosity. Silver leans into brightness and warmth while Gold takes a deeper, richer path. The collection represents a Brazilian perspective on femininity, drawing on local materials and sensibilities. The result is a fragrance that reflects both international perfumery standards and specifically Brazilian character.
