The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Verônica Kato built Faces Infinita in 2010 as part of Natura's Faces collection. The brief was clear: something bright and open in spirit. Kato reached for a layered composition, opening with pear and blackcurrant that sparkle against the skin before settling into a white-floral heart built around jasmine and lily-of-the-valley. The top notes carry a crisp, almost edible juiciness, like biting into a chilled pear on a warm afternoon, while the floral accord beneath lends a softness that speaks to warmth without leaning heavy or overly powdery. The result is a composition rooted in accessibility rather than restraint, the kind of fragrance that meets the world rather than retreating from it.
What sets Faces Infinita apart is the raspberry threaded through the heart. Kato works the fruit into the floral middle, and it changes the texture entirely. The raspberry bridges the pear opening to the jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, giving the florals a tart edge that keeps them from going soapy or sliding toward the generic sweetness that flattens so many compositions in this category. The fruit note carries a bright, slightly candied sharpness that cuts cleanly through the creamier white florals, and that tension becomes the structural backbone of the scent.
The evolution
The first ten minutes belong to the fruit. Pear and mandarin land bright, almost sharp, with blackcurrant giving the opening a green, slightly tart edge that keeps it from reading as simple candy. That citrus-fruit energy fades faster than you'd expect. By the thirty-minute mark, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley have taken over, but they arrive altered, softened by the raspberry threaded through the heart, which lends the florals a faint fruit-skin warmth instead of the usual cold soapiness. Two hours in, the white florals recede and the base begins to surface. Sandalwood comes first, creamy and quiet, then amber warms from underneath, and the musk settles everything into a close, skin-level finish. The sillage is moderate at best, intimate by hour three. On a sweater the next morning: pear gone, raspberry gone, just warm sandalwood and amber, faint, like the trace of someone who was here yesterday.
Cultural impact
Faces Infinita sits within Natura's Faces collection, and its fruity-floral register places it firmly in the accessible daytime category, the kind of fragrance worn by women who want something present but not demanding. Within Brazil's domestic fragrance market it carries a confident openness that has become something of a calling card. The composition wears close enough to feel personal yet projects enough to register in a room, making it versatile across settings from office hours to weekend afternoons.
