Jequiti launched Só Você Fábio Jr. Momentos in 2014 as part of the brand's strategy to partner with popular Brazilian personalities, creating accessible scents that capture a relatable mood rather than an aspirational fantasy. Perfumer Philippe Roques was tasked with translating the warm, unhurried feeling of a late-afternoon coffee break in Rio, where the air is still warm but shadows are beginning to lengthen. The challenge was to create something that felt simultaneously energizing and calming, capturing that specific Brazilian rhythm of work transitioning into leisure.
The note selection reflects Jequiti's understanding of its audience: bright, accessible materials that read clearly without requiring trained noses to appreciate. Basil was chosen as the signature opening element because of its ubiquity in Brazilian daily life, from pesto to caipirinha garnishes, making it immediately familiar and comforting. The floral heart avoids heavy white florals that might read as evening-appropriate, instead choosing geranium and lavender which feel appropriate across all hours. The base prioritizes comfort and longevity using amber and vanilla, materials that project moderately but last reliably on skin, reflecting a practical philosophy that values wearability over complexity.
