The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Art Collection presents an intimate conversation between fragrance and visual art, three numbered expressions, three different artists, three ways of seeing scent. #09 found its interpreter in Stina Persson, the illustrator whose work brings saturated reds and oranges to the carton. What Persson painted onto the packaging, the perfumer built in the bottle, a fragrance that makes its presence felt through vibrant, fruity warmth and a generous spirit. The composition balances tropical sweetness with gourmand depth, creating something that is colorful and expressive in its character. There is no quietness here, no subtle restraint. The scent opens bright and bold, carrying that same visual energy from the box into the air around you, inviting attention without apology.
Mango and praline are the unusual pairing here. Both carry natural sweetness, but mango adds a ripe, almost tart edge that praline's roasted hazelnj caramel can't quite match. Together they form a heart that smells like the moment fruit caramelizes, sticky, golden, specific. The base leans on sandalwood's creamy woodiness and cinnamon's heat to ground what could have become a sugar rush. Vanilla ties it all together, soft and persistent.
The evolution
The opening arrives bright, lemon zest and orange pulp cut through the sweetness before it even settles. Red berries add a slight tartness, a reminder that this started somewhere cool and fresh. As time passes, the citrus fades and mango takes over, with praline sliding in beside it like it belongs there. The transition is not dramatic. It just gets warmer, sweeter, closer to skin. The sandalwood and cinnamon arrive to deepen the composition, adding warmth and a hint of spice. Vanilla joins eventually and stays past when you have forgotten you sprayed it. The drydown is skin-warm and intimate, close enough to be noticed only by someone standing near you. Throughout its evolution, the fragrance maintains a moderate presence that is present but never shouting.
Cultural impact
The Art Collection positions #09 as a fruity-gourmand entry in a collection built on artistic collaboration. Its mango and praline character makes it stand apart from other expressions in the line, offering something vibrant and expressive rather than restrained. The composition leans into tropical sweetness with a confectionery warmth that feels colorful and unapologetic in its approach. What results is a fragrance that prioritizes generosity and presence, inviting attention rather than receding into the background.
