Why it exists.
The beginning
The Flora line began as Gucci's study in singular flowers, each fragrance built around one noble bloom. In 2021, Flora transformed into Flora Fantasy: a virtual world of flowers, cute animals, and kawaii cuteness, where dreams bleed into reality. Miley Cyrus became its face. In 2023, Flora Gorgeous Magnolia joined the garden. Daphné Bugey and Marie Salamagne built the composition around magnolia, amplifying its lush white petals with coconut cream and dewberry sweetness, then grounding everything in blonde woods, musk, and patchouli for warmth that stays close to skin.
The magnolia note here is the star, magnolia essence alongside jasmine sambac absolute and lily of the valley create a full white floral heart. What makes this structure distinctive is the coconut cream that threads through the heart, sweetening the florals rather than appearing as a separate coconut note. The dewberry and orange at the opening provide bright, dewy freshness before the lush floral cream takes over. It's a sweet-to-skin composition where the white florals don't disappear into the drydown, they linger, close and warm.

The opening hits bright and fruity. Dewberry and orange citrus lift the coconut cream into something immediate and alive. Fifteen minutes in, the citrus softens and the white florals take over, jasmine sambac absolute, magnolia essence, lily of the valley deepening the coconut sweetness into something lush. The dewberry doesn't disappear; it becomes part of the cream. By the late drydown, the fruity brightness is gone and the magnolia and coconut linger closest to skin, warmed by blonde woods, patchouli, and musk.
