Wonderland

The composition leans into contrast more than complexity. Aquatic notes and cardamom do the cool, mineral work upfront, while whipped cream and mango handle the edible softness in the heart. Jasmine sambac and gardenia add a white floral spine that keeps the sweetness from tipping into candy. The base of musk, hazelnut, and sandalwood grounds it in something warmer and skin-like, giving the lactonic notes somewhere to land. It's an uncomplicated structure, but the combination of marine and milky accords in the same bottle is rarer than it sounds.

The evolution

The first hour is almost entirely aquatic. Mandarin orange adds a thin citrus ribbon, and cardamom brings a clean, peppery warmth underneath, but the dominant impression is cool water, sea spray, the kind of breeze that makes you close your eyes. There's a faint sweetness already, but it reads distant, like something baking in a kitchen down the hall. As the fragrance develops, the gardenia and jasmine sambac step forward, bringing a creamy white floral weight that begins to soften the aquatic sharpness. The whipped cream note lifts everything, adding a soft, milky roundness that smooths the floral edges. Mango threads through, giving a tropical fruitiness without making it beachy, more like ripe fruit on a warm plate than piña colada sweetness. The lactonic quality soon takes over as the dominant character.
