The beginning
Miss Arrogate takes its name from Arrogate, the racehorse, a thoroughbred whose improbable wins made him legend. Assaf's 2024 release borrows that energy for a women's composition: the kind that bolts out the gate instead of tiptoeing onto the track. Bright citrus opens, the floral heart surges, and the woody base doesn't fade so much as finish strong. It's a racing metaphor executed in scent: acceleration, not romance. The composition moves the way a frontrunner moves, committed from the first stride, never hedging or looking back. You get the sense that every note was chosen for the way it pushes forward rather than lingers prettily. Bergamot and grapefruit crack the starter pistol. Roses and jasmine fill the midfield.
What makes Miss Arrogate work is the dual-rose heart. Turkish rose brings opulent richness, while jasmine sambac adds creamy warmth that reads as skin rather than perfume. The evolution
The first ten minutes are all momentum. Bergamot and grapefruit hit sharp and bright, and the peach underneath adds just enough roundness to keep things from feeling austere.
