Neroli Wisdom arrived in 2018 as part of Anima Vinci's early portfolio, composed by Beverley Bayne. Bayne's composition leans into neroli, the distilled essence of bitter orange blossom. The brief seems to have been straightforward. Take one of perfumery's most ancient florals and let it breathe without burying it under ambition. And the result reflects exactly that kind of confidence. Neroli sits at the center of the composition, not as a background whisper but as the structural pillar, and everything else arranges itself around that decision. The opening citrus trio of bergamot, lemon, and mandarin orange cuts a bright path, almost sharp enough to read as a cool morning splash rather than a soft mist.
What makes this composition worth a second look is the restraint. Bayne doesn't crowd the neroli with competing florals or drown it in oud.
