Pierre Guillaume built this fragrance around the idea of an olfactory prayer, written in six symbolic ingredients. Released in 2008, it sits at the intersection of the devotional and the intimate, incense smoke that doesn't intimidate, white florals that don't retreat. The "19" places it in a numbered sequence, suggesting ritual, a catalog of sensory devotions. Each entry its own small meditation.
What makes this composition unusual is how it holds two registers simultaneously. The neroli and hawthorn open with a sparkling, almost effervescent brightness, clean, almost clean enough to feel innocent.
