In 2018, Mugler returned to its green heart. The original Aura launched in 2017 as an oriental-green-aromatic statement, bold, tropical, unapologetically animal. The 2018 EDT interpretation arrived with a different mission: radiant freshness that reveals tender voluptuous sensuality. Olivier Cresp, the nose behind the original, reworked the composition to foreground fruit and green notes, pear extract, hibiscus seed, tiger liana, while keeping the vanilla foundation that gives Aura its warmth. The green heart-shaped bottle remained. The attitude stayed intact.

Tiger Liana, the signature green note in Aura, is the perfumer's secret weapon. Named for the climbing vines of tropical rainforests, it brings a lush, alive quality that synthetic green notes struggle to replicate. Paired with rhubarb's tart bite and strawberry's sweetness, it creates a heart that feels fruity without being childish, green without being austere.
