The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Temptation arrived in 2022 as part of the Black Label Collection, a fragrance built around the crisp, immediate appeal of citrus freshness and the slower, warmer pull of white florals meeting suede. The opening hits quickly, a burst of citrus that doesn't linger but instead clears the path for something deeper. As it settles, the white florals emerge, soft and slightly sweet, before the suede note anchors everything with a velvety, intimate warmth. The name says it all. Temptation doesn't announce itself. It arrives and waits for you to follow.
What makes the structure interesting is the disconnect between opening and drydown. The top is all sparkle and green, petitgrain, neroli, apple, but the base is a different conversation entirely. Oakmoss and suede together evoke something older, more tactile. Patchouli anchors the transition, keeping the florals grounded instead of letting them float away. It's a composition built on the question: what happens when you start one story and finish another?
The evolution
The first spray hits bright. Lemon zest and bergamot announce themselves without ceremony, apple adding a brief sweetness before petitgrain introduces a green, almost bitter undertone. Neroli bridges the citrus and the florals, that transition is where Temptation earns its name. By the thirty-minute mark, jasmine and orange blossom have taken over, but they're not delicate here. The patchouli underneath gives them weight. Rose appears quietly, almost as an afterthought, but it persists. The drydown is where this fragrance diverges from the pack. Suede and oakmoss create a skin-like, almost leathery warmth. Cedarwood keeps it from going too dark. Musk and amber hold close, intimate, not projecting. On fabric, expect the citrus ghost to linger into the next day. On skin, the drydown survives for hours.
Cultural impact
Temptation launched in 2022 as part of Moudon's Black Label Collection, a fragrance that moves from bright citrus to warm, intimate drydowns. The opening features crisp citrus notes that quickly give way to a softer, more complex heart. As the fragrance develops, suede and oakmoss create a base that feels both modern and timeless. The bright citrus opening provides an immediate, refreshing impression that doesn't overpower the senses. Instead, it prepares the wearer for the deeper notes that follow.
