The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Julien Rasquinet built Acacia Headspace around a simple idea: capture the acacia moment. Not just the flower, the entire impression of the tree in bloom, golden and fleeting. The Headspace methodology treats each fragrance as a field note, a snapshot of something real. Acacia translates that into warm, powdery sweetness. Rum brings unexpected warmth, plum adds a fermented fruit depth, and davana keeps things green and alive. The result is a fragrance that feels like afternoon light through blossoms, specific, immediate, and unmistakably human.
What makes Acacia interesting is the interplay between warmth and softness. Rum's boozy sweetness opens things up, but davana's herbal complexity keeps it grounded. The heart, mimosa and tonka, creates a powdery warmth that feels like warm vanilla cream. This isn't a fragrance that announces itself. It unfolds. The base of vanilla, opoponax, and sandalwood delivers that long, warm finish the brand is known for. Acacia stays close to the skin and lingers for hours, rewarding the wearer who chooses intimacy over projection.
The evolution
The opening hits immediately, rum and plum's boozy warmth and fruit sweetness. Davana adds a green complexity that prevents this from being a simple sweet scent. Within the first hour, the davana's medicinal quality transforms the rum-plum pairing into something more layered than expected. The heart introduces mimosa and tonka, a powdery warmth that reads like vanilla cream applied close to the skin. This phase is intimate, soft, and close. The drydown settles into vanilla, opoponax, and sandalwood. Creamy, warm woods that stay intimate and present for most of the day.
Cultural impact
Acacia Headspace joins a growing collection of fragrances that reward wearers who value authenticity and precision. Composed by Julien Rasquinet in 2025, the fragrance uses rum, plum, davana, mimosa, tonka bean, vanilla, opoponax, and sandalwood to create a warm, powdery, and balsamic experience. The sillage is intimate but present, strong enough to draw compliments without dominating a room. Wearers describe it as the kind of fragrance that someone who doesn't need to announce themselves reaches for.
