The beginning
Roda Mágica is Granado's 2024 addition to the Espetacular Parque collection. The fragrance was composed by Mylène Alran, who built the composition around the sensory textures of an amusement park evening, blending bright citrus, soft florals, and a sweet almond base into a single wear. It lands in the unisex register, genderless on purpose, because the feeling it chases belongs to anyone who ever stood in line for a second ride. The opening is fizzy and green, the heart cools into creamy florals and clean cedar, and the drydown settles into that warm almond note that holds everything together. It's a playful scent, but it's composed with enough structure to feel deliberate rather than scattered.
What makes this composition interesting is the transition from green citrus to nutty warmth. Alran threads the move with orange blossom and cedar, both of which sit comfortably between the bright and the soft. The almond base is the real structural surprise, sweet and slightly marzipan-edged, grounding the opening's effervescence in something that feels edible without ever tipping into gourmand territory. It's a composition that knows what it wants to be at every stage, holding its shape through the heart and into the drydown with very little drift between intentions.
The evolution
The opening is pure kinetic energy. Bergamot, orange, and petitgrain hit the skin in quick succession, green and sharp, almost fizzy, the kind of scent that reads as movement rather than stillness. The citrus eventually pulls back, and cedar steps forward alongside orange blossom and freesia, cooling the composition into something creamier and more grounded. The heart holds for a while, gradually losing its floral lift and gaining a soft, rounded sweetness as the almond begins to assert itself. Patchouli is doing quiet work underneath, adding a faint earthy hum that keeps the sweetness from going flat. As the drydown settles in, this fragrance reveals its real personality: warm almond, soft musk, just enough patchouli to keep the whole thing from floating off. What lingers is mostly that almond-musk haze, sweet and slightly powdery, like the trace of an afternoon that went well.

Roda Mágica sits in an interesting space for Granado: playful enough to belong to the Espetacular Parque collection's amusement-park concept, but composed with enough restraint to wear beyond a summer afternoon. Its almond drydown gives it a warmth that holds up in transitional weather, and the cedar-and-orange-blossom heart keeps it from feeling too heavy for warmer days.
