The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Brisa arrived in 2016 as part of Chlorophylla's Águas Frescas collection. Its composition begins with apple, peach and tangerine, joined by bergamot, grapefruit and Sicilian lemon for a brighter, more polished fruit impression. The heart introduces freesia, honeysuckle, jasmine and Lily of the Valley, creating a white floral layer that softens the sweetness of the opening. Green tea and ginger add a restrained aromatic edge between fruit and flowers, keeping the blend from becoming overly lush. As the fragrance settles, sandalwood and vetiver bring a measured woody and earthy base, while musk and amber round out the finish. The name Brisa means breeze, and the scent follows that visual cue without becoming a literal aquatic splash. It's easy to wear, but never thin.
What makes Brisa interesting is the conversation between opposites. Apple, peach and tangerine bring sweetness, while bergamot, grapefruit and Sicilian lemon keep the fruit from turning syrupy. Freesia, honeysuckle, jasmine and Lily of the Valley add white floral lift, with green tea and ginger placing a restrained aromatic edge between fruit and flowers. Sandalwood and vetiver then give the composition a more grounded structure, while musk and amber soften the finish.
The evolution
The first impression is a bright lift of citrus and ripe fruit, with apple, peach and tangerine bringing sweetness beside grapefruit, bergamot and Sicilian Lemon. It reads like sunlight caught on a cool morning, lively but not aggressively sugary. As the opening settles, the heart takes over with airy freesia, honeysuckle, jasmine, Lily of the Valley and rose, while green tea and ginger give the floral side a lightly aromatic edge. The surprise comes later, when the composition settles into sandalwood, vetiver, musk and amber. Those base notes leave a quiet earthy trace beneath the florals, changing Brisa from simply fresh into something with more depth. Over time, the fruit and florals become less prominent as the woody, musky base carries more of the impression.
Cultural impact
Brisa can be explored through its layered composition and its balance of contrasting fragrance notes. Apple, peach and tangerine establish a sweet fruit impression, while bergamot, grapefruit and Sicilian lemon bring brightness and definition. Freesia, honeysuckle, jasmine and Lily of the Valley introduce a light floral center, and green tea and ginger create a subtle aromatic transition between the fruit and flowers. Sandalwood, vetiver, musk and amber give the fragrance a more grounded finish, allowing the bright opening to settle into a softer woody impression.
