The original Bonbon carried a confectionery spirit, a scent engineered to feel rounded, sweet, and edible on the skin. For this limited holiday edition, perfumers Cecile Matton and Serge Majoullier stayed close to the original architecture, letting the caramel-peach-amber spine carry the composition while a festive bottle treatment did the seasonal talking. On first spray, the juice floods out with a luscious peach nectar drenched in syrupy caramel, almost sticky in its sweetness, the kind of opening that reads more like dessert than perfume.
What makes the Bonbon structure worth examining is how it handles caramel, a note that usually drowns compositions in sugar. Here, it sits in the heart rather than the top, which means the peach and citrus get to do the opening brightness first. That sequencing matters. The neroli and jasmine in the middle keep the caramel from feeling flat, lending a white-floral lift that keeps things from collapsing into pure confection. The guaiac wood, sandalwood, amber, and cedar base then grounds the sweetness, giving the drydown a smoky-warm architecture most pure gourmands never achieve.
The evolution

Then the caramel arrives, golden and buttery, pulling the neroli along with it. Jasmine shows up briefly, a green-white flicker that keeps the sweetness from becoming one-note. By the two-hour mark, the woods start doing their work. Guaiac wood brings a dry, slightly smoky warmth while sandalwood adds that soft, milky creaminess underneath. The amber wraps everything together.
