The Visionary arrived in 2026 as part of The Dua Brand's Original Blend Collection, created for the Vault '26 Conference. That's a specific kind of pressure, making a scent for an audience that already knows everything about scent. The brief seems to have been: surprise people who are hard to surprise. The result is a composition that refuses to settle into a single category, tropical fruit and salt and saffron one moment, rose and neroli and mineral amber the next. It's a fragrance designed for people who think they've seen it all and want to be proven wrong.
What's genuinely unusual here is the mineral amber note sitting in the heart, flanked by sea salt. That's not a common pairing in the heart of a fragrance, where mineral notes usually show up in the opening or never appear at all. Combined with the saffron up top and the caramel in the base, The Visionary creates a kind of geological sweetness, stone and sugar sharing the same space. Add the Mojito mint and passion fruit nectar in the top and the composition reads almost like a cocktail list, which may be exactly the point.
The evolution
The first ten minutes are loud in the best way. Bitter orange and mandarin hit bright, then the Mojito mint cools things down while pineapple and passion fruit nectar push the sweetness tropical. Ginger threads through it all, clean heat that keeps the fruit from going soft. The saffron is the hinge, adding a leathery bitterness that stops the opening from being a poolside drink. Caramel shows up first, golden and slightly burnt, then Haitian vetiver brings an earthy green that grounds everything.
