Hawas takes its name from the hawassa, the deep, dark pools found scattered across the Arabian Peninsula where date palms crowd the water's edge. It is a striking reference for a fragrance built around fruity warmth and aquatic-adjacent freshness. The naming creates a deliberate tension between image and scent. Rasasi, founded in Dubai in 1979, has long operated at the intersection of Arabian perfumery traditions and modern international taste. The house is known for accessible luxury without compromise on composition, producing fragrances in-house from concept through distribution. Hawas for Him was designed to capture a specific tension: the cool, deep calm suggested by still dark water against the warm brightness of fruit and spice caught in afternoon light.
