The evolution

The opening hits fast. Star anise arrives sharp, almost medicinal, with bergamot cutting through just enough to keep it from cloying. You get maybe 30 minutes of that, then the hand-off begins. Cinnamon moves in next, slower than you might expect. Not a bang, more of a gradual warmth that builds alongside fir's resinous quality and sage's herbal undertone. The heart isn't loud, but it's present. It lasts a couple of hours on most skin. The drydown is where m earns its reputation. Vanilla and tonka bean take over, softened by cashmere wood and white musk. The overall impression is powdery, warm, and slightly sweet without tipping into dessert territory. Vetiver lingers underneath, keeping the base from becoming too soft. Six to eight hours is realistic. The sillage is moderate, people won't smell you from across the room, but those close enough will notice. On fabric, it can last into the next day.
