The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Mirada's 2022 release Senses was born from the house's desire to translate pure perception into scent. After years of crafting unisex staples, the Dubai studio turned its focus toward a feminine narrative that could echo the brand's 'Line of Eternity' philosophy. The perfumer approached this project as an exercise in clarity, stripping away excess to let each note communicate directly with the wearer. Lemon and pomegranate were selected for their ability to cut through noise, creating an opening that feels like a sensory reset. The house believed that true perception begins with sharpness before softening.
The name Senses reflects the house's commitment to creating a fragrance that engages every layer of perception. Lemon provides the sharp clarity of smell, strawberry and pomegranate engage through their vivid fruity character, and geranium adds an almost tactile green quality. Jasmine in the drydown brings depth through its complex, slightly animalic nature while wisteria provides softness that feels like touch. Musk grounds everything, creating a physical connection between fragrance and wearer. This layering of sensory experience reflects Mirada's broader philosophy that a great fragrance should feel like a complete encounter rather than a simple pleasant smell.
The evolution
The evolution from opening to drydown mirrors how we actually experience the world around us. Lemon hits first with immediate citrus clarity, pomegranate adds complexity through its tart, almost wine-like character, and strawberry provides the essential sweetness that makes the opening inviting rather than harsh. As the fragrance moves into the heart phase, geranium brings its distinctive green edge that creates tension against the sweetness, preventing the composition from becoming cloying. Green apple reinforces this crispness while rose introduces traditional femininity that feels earned rather than assumed. The drydown represents the final chapter of the sensory experience. Jasmine anchors the base with creamy warmth, musk creates intimacy by staying close to the skin, and wisteria finishes with a soft, cascading presence that feels like an exhale rather than a statement.
Cultural impact
Since its 2022 launch, Senses by Mirada has resonated with a generation seeking bright, fruit‑forward scents that feel both modern and approachable. Its blend of pomegranate, strawberry, and lemon taps into a global trend toward fresh, edible notes, while the subtle musky drydown grounds the composition in classic femininity. The perfume has been featured in several lifestyle blogs and social media posts celebrating spring rituals, reinforcing the brand’s image as a youthful, energetic voice in contemporary perfumery.
