Heritage
A house, in its own words
Mirada entered the fragrance market in 2016, establishing a workshop in Dubai that draws on the city’s reputation as a crossroads of trade and culture. The founders, whose identities remain private, chose the name Mirada – Spanish for "look" – to suggest a focus on perception and personal expression. Early on the house curated a small but diverse portfolio, reviving scents originally launched in 2000 such as Verato Amber, Verato White Musk and Perla Passion. These early fragrances were re‑formulated under the Mirada label, allowing the brand to bridge a two‑decade gap between its heritage scents and contemporary releases. In 2022 Mirada introduced Monarch Pour Femme, a floral‑orientated composition that marked the brand’s first major expansion into the luxury feminine segment. The following year Good Sky Girl arrived, blending citrus and soft florals to appeal to a younger audience. 2024 proved prolific, with Freedom Waves – a marine‑inspired unisex scent – and Genius Gentleman – a refined woody aromatic – both receiving positive coverage in regional fragrance blogs. The most recent addition, Iola (2025), explores a gourmand‑amber direction, demonstrating the house’s willingness to experiment within its established framework. Throughout its evolution Mirada has maintained a focus on limited releases, avoiding mass‑market distribution and instead targeting niche retailers and online platforms that cater to fragrance enthusiasts. The brand’s growth reflects a broader trend in the Middle East toward home‑grown perfume houses that combine global ingredient sourcing with local craftsmanship. Mirada’s creative vision centers on the idea that scent should act as a personal signature rather than a fleeting trend. The brand describes its line as "not seasonal" and emphasizes a timeless quality that can accompany wearers across different moments in life. This philosophy is echoed in the recurring tagline "Line of Eternity," which suggests a continuity of inspiration rather than a series of isolated collections. Mirada values authenticity, encouraging customers to "be the vibe" and to view fragrance as an extension of one’s inner creative mind. The house also stresses inclusivity, offering both masculine and feminine compositions and avoiding gendered marketing language. Sustainability appears in the brand’s statements as a guiding principle; Mirada claims to source ingredients responsibly and to limit production runs to reduce waste. By focusing on a curated portfolio, the brand aims to maintain high standards while allowing each perfume to develop its own identity over time.
