The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Florasense Jardim do Amor arrived in 2018 as part of Jequiti's Florasense collection, a line built around the brand's recurring theme of gardens in bloom. The name translates loosely to "Garden of Love," and the composition leans fully into that promise: a sunlit, fruit-forward floral designed for the everyday romantic rather than the formal one. The opening hits with that unmistakable generosity of fruit, mandarin and bergamot sparkling at the surface while peach lays down a soft, warm sweetness almost immediately. It's the kind of top that doesn't wait to be discovered, it introduces itself within the first breath, and that confidence sets the tone for everything that follows.
What sets this composition apart isn't a rare material or a daring accord. It's the deliberate, almost stubborn commitment to fruit. Mandarin, peach, bergamot on top. Pear and apricot at the heart. Sweetness is not a side effect here, it's the architecture. Jasmine and teakwood try to add structure, but the fruits keep pulling the conversation back to something ripe and sugary. That tension between wanting florals to feel grown-up and letting the fruit have the final say is the whole personality. The composition makes its preferences clear from the first spray, and it never really wavers.
The evolution
The first ten minutes taste like biting into a peach in warm weather, citrus brightness layered over fuzzy sweetness, with bergamot cutting just enough to keep things from going syrupy. Around the thirty-minute mark, the jasmine shows up, faint and a little creamy, and the pear note adds a watery fruit effect that makes the whole thing feel like a fruit salad with a floral garnish. Teakwood tries to anchor the composition, though it barely registers against the dominant fruit. By the two-hour mark, the vanilla and amber begin their slow takeover. The peach fades to a memory, the jasmine softens to a whisper, and what remains is a warm, powdery vanilla-amber close that lingers closer to the skin than it projected at the start.
Cultural impact
Jardim do Amor sits firmly inside Brazil's affordable fruity-floral category, the kind of sweet, uncomplicated composition that resonates with wearers who want warmth and approachability over niche complexity. It's not chasing vintage prestige or artisanal credibility. It's offering a romantic, easy-to-wear scent wrapped in the imagery of a garden in full bloom, which is exactly the kind of accessible charm the Florasense collection has built its identity around. The 'Garden of Love' framing gives it just enough romance to feel like a small gift to oneself, whether it's worn on an ordinary Tuesday morning or saved for a warmer moment.
