Resurrect arrived in 2023 as part of Hint's expanding catalog. The brand's own framing positions it around revival, the idea of a burdened spirit restarting, and the name itself says it plainly: this is meant to bring something back to life. The brief was less about invention and more about restoration. The mindframe drawn from the brand's own notes reads "Mindfulness, revive the burdened spirit, restarting a new life." That stance shaped what Resurrect was built to do, not startle, not seduce, but offer a kind of clean slate you can wear. There's a quiet certainty in that intent, and it shows up in how the scent is composed. Each phase of the fragrance leans toward openness rather than performance.
What's interesting about the architecture is how little it tries. Bergamot, lavender, and cypress up top carry the bulk of the work, then frankincense and an aquatic thread do the middle, and the base simply holds the ground with musk, oakmoss, and suede. The whole composition is structured around clarity rather than statement. The aquatic note is where it earns its character. Paired with frankincense, it reads less like a sporty marine accord and more like the air after a long rain, still wet, still mineral.
The evolution
The opening is the loudest this fragrance ever gets. Bergamot and lavender arrive together, bright and soapy, with cypress lending a slightly resinous edge that keeps it from tipping into straight shower-gel territory. For the first 15 minutes it reads as a clean, herbal, almost medicinal thing, the kind of scent that belongs to someone who just stepped out of a cool shower and hasn't reached for cologne yet. Around the 30-minute mark the aquatic note and frankincense take over. This is where Resurrect becomes its own thing. The middle is not marine-fresh, it's more like the smell of wet stone in a quiet courtyard, mineral and resinous rather than ozonic. The lavender softens here, folded into the frankincense until you stop noticing individual notes and start noticing the mood. Two hours in, the base takes over: musk, oakmoss, suede. It's a quiet, earthy close, no sweetness, no projection spike. The oakmoss gives it a faint green undertone, the suede rounds it out into something slightly powdery. On skin it lasts around 4-6 hours before becoming a close whisper.
