The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Esprit for my Vitality belongs to a fragrance line that takes the brand's casual confidence and translates it into something wearable. Where some scents are built for evenings and lounging, this one leans the opposite direction. It's a get-up-and-go composition, designed for the pace of a life already in motion rather than one waiting to start. The juice opens bright and immediate, the kind of fragrance you reach for on a morning when the day needs a little push. Translating the label's relaxed, unpretentious clothing energy into scent meant finding notes that could match movement and daylight. Citrus leads the charge, but there's a grounded warmth underneath that keeps the whole thing from floating away.
The choice of three citruses up top (bergamot, bitter orange, and orange) wasn't about complexity. It was about stacking the same cheerful chord from three slightly different angles. Bergamot brings the bitter edge, orange brings sweetness, bitter orange pulls them both toward something herbal. Then the heart lands on coriander, freesia, and tea, three materials that share a watery, green quality. The rosewood base is warmer than you'd expect from something this breezy, which is where the composition earns its keep.
The evolution
The opening minutes belong to citrus, and they're not shy about claiming the space. Bergamot and orange come through like a slice of fruit pulled fresh from the rind, sweet and sharp at the same moment. The bitter orange adds a faint herbal bitterness that keeps the sweetness honest, steering well clear of anything too candy-like. After a brief stretch the tea note surfaces, pulling the whole composition into something calmer and more transparent. Freesia drifts in alongside it, softening the edges and adding a cool floral glide that bridges the bright top into what's coming next. Give it time and the citruses begin to recede, the freesia thins out, and you're sitting with coriander and the soft warmth of rosewood. The musk underneath pulls everything close to the skin, creating a base that feels more worn than sprayed.
Cultural impact
Esprit for my Vitality is built around a composition that prizes accessibility and brightness over complexity. Its bergamot and bitter orange top notes deliver an immediate burst of citrus that feels modern and unpretentious, the kind of opening that earns its place on a morning vanity rather than a collector's shelf. The tea note threading through the heart adds a quiet sophistication, the sort of detail that elevates the composition without weighing it down. Freesia softens the transition into the warmer base, where coriander and rosewood settle into a clean, woody finish supported by a soft musk.
