The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Miami Muse is And Other Stories exploring a city known for its bold character and sun-drenched atmosphere. Perfumer Jérôme Epinette translated that energy into a fruity-floral-gourmand composition that balances bright tropical notes with a warm, sweet base. The blend moves from an effervescent opening through a nuanced floral heart and settles into something intimate and lingering. It's the kind of scent that makes a statement without saying a word, confident enough to stand out in a crowded space.
What makes this composition work is its refusal to stay in one lane. Guava anchors the top with bright tropical sweetness, unmistakably summery in its feel. Pink pepper adds a spice that reads as sparkle rather than heat. The heart pairs violet's powdery floral classicism with raspberry blossom's fresher, fruitier lift. Together they create a sweetness that doesn't feel juvenile. And then there's cotton candy, gourmand shorthand that could veer into parody, but here it acts as connective tissue, linking the bright opening to the deeper, warmer drydown.
The evolution
The opening announces itself quickly, guava and pink pepper arriving with tropical and spicy presence. The violet takes over, softening into something powdery and familiar while raspberry blossom threads through, adding a jammy sweetness that bridges the heart and the base. The drydown is where Miami Muse earns its depth. Cotton candy and musk blend into something warm and intimate, while patchouli grounds the sweetness in earthiness that prevents the whole thing from floating away. It stays close to the skin, warm and present, lingering in a way that invites closer attention.
Cultural impact
Miami Muse is a fruity-floral-gourmand composition that moves beyond the body mists and perfume oils of earlier releases. It represents a more complex approach to scent from a brand known for its fashion perspective, offering a blend that balances sweetness with unexpected depth.
