The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Jasmina arrived in 2023 from Al Rehab Perfumes. The name does what it says on the tin: jasmine, and plenty of it. But this isn't a shy jasmine. It's jasmine sambac paired with tuberose, African orange flower, heliotrope, and a second appearance of ylang-ylang deeper in the composition. The brand built it as a unisex floral, which matters because the structure underneath those white flowers is anything but delicate. Labdanum, benzoin, amber, patchouli, amber xtreme, white musk, bourbon vanilla. That's a base designed to hold ground, not float. From the first spray, the jasmine sambac announces itself with a dense, almost candied sweetness that carries the indolic warmth tuberose is known for, but tempered here so neither flower tips into the territory of being overwhelming on its own.
What makes Jasmina worth attention is the density of its heart. Most jasmine-led compositions rely on one or two supporting florals. Here you get five: jasmine sambac, African orange flower, tuberose, ylang-ylang, and heliotrope, all stacked into the middle layer. The ylang-ylang even appears twice, bookending the composition from top to heart. Patchouli in the base plays a supporting role too, providing depth without dominating. Amber xtreme adds a modern warmth that the labdanum and benzoin round out into something resinous and golden.
The evolution
The first 30 minutes belong to pear blossom and pink pepper, which give the opening a dewy, slightly spicy lift before the florals arrive. Bergamot adds a brief citric brightness at the edges. Then jasmine sambac takes over. It doesn't ease in. It fills the space, joined by tuberose, African orange flower, and ylang-ylang, creating a white floral cloud that's almost narcotic in its density. Heliotrope adds a soft, almond-like sweetness underneath. Around the 2-hour mark the florals start to share space with the base. Labdanum and benzoin bring a warm, resinous depth. Amber xtreme adds a clean, radiant warmth that keeps the composition from feeling too heavy. Singapore patchouli grounds everything without darkening it. The drydown, somewhere around 4-6 hours, settles into bourbon vanilla and white musk, leaving a warm, slightly sweet, skin-close trail that lingers into the next day on fabric.
Cultural impact
Jasmina sits as a statement floral rather than a skin scent, and that's where its appeal lives. The fragrance wears close enough to be personal but projects enough to be noticed, making it a versatile option for both intimate settings and occasions where presence matters. Wearers who want jasmine with substance, not just a whisper, gravitate toward this profile. The density of the heart, with five white flowers stacked into a single composition, gives it a richness that simpler jasmine fragrances often lack.
