The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Felix Deschamps created Cherrynity as a love letter to the electric charge of a first kiss beneath cherry blossoms. Working with AAMO's Bogor atelier, he translated that fleeting, slightly anxious thrill into scent form using Hawthorn and Cherry as emotional anchors. The fragrance launched in 2024 as part of AAMO's limited-edition philosophy, treating everyday human moments as art worthy of preservation.
For Deschamps, each note in Cherrynity serves a purpose beyond aroma. The Hawthorn and Cherry evoke the initial spark, Leather represents the vulnerability of intimacy, while Cypriol, Smoke, and Frankincense symbolize the lasting memory. Pairing suggestions reflect this emotional arc: wear it during quiet evening conversations or moments of personal reflection rather than crowded social settings where its intimacy gets lost in noise.
The evolution
The fragrance begins with Hawthorn and Cherry taking immediate center stage, their delicate floral sweetness tempered by Mandarin Orange's citrus brightness. Saffron and Ginger introduce a warm, almost edible spice, while Davana adds an aromatic complexity that hints at the unexpected. In the heart, Leather dominates with a soft, worn quality, Iris providing a powdery counterpoint, and Olive offering unexpected green stillness amid the richness. Nutmeg, Osmanthus, and Apricot blend into a warm, slightly fruity middle ground. The drydown shifts toward darker territory with Cypriol's smoky, earthy character, Frankincense adding resinous depth, and Oakmoss bringing organic texture, all wrapped in Amber and Vanilla's honeyed warmth before Woody Notes provide lasting structure.
Cultural impact
Since its 2024 debut, Cherrynity has resonated with a generation that values bright, daring aromas that still carry depth. The cherry‑ginger opening mirrors the resurgence of youthful optimism in post‑pandemic fashion, while the leather‑iris heart nods to classic craftsmanship, creating a bridge between modern street style and timeless elegance. Social media buzz shows the scent becoming a staple in spring‑time playlists, and its smoky amber dry‑down has sparked discussions about gender‑fluid fragrance choices, reflecting broader cultural shifts toward inclusivity and self‑expression.
