When the house decided to revisit Flowerbomb for a new generation, perfumers Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaïm and Domitille Michalon-Bertier faced the challenge of a fragrance that had become almost synonymous with its own excess. The brief was clear: extract the essence of what made the original beloved while stripping away the accumulated baggage of countless flankers. Bergamot and tea became the chosen instruments for this recalibration, providing a crispness that signals intent without announcing itself too loudly.
The choice of bergamot and tea for the opening reflects a philosophy of controlled intensity. Rather than assaulting the senses with sweetness from the first spray, this fragrance builds momentum through contrast. The floral heart, built on jasmine and freesia, delivers the signature Flowerbomb impact but channels it through a structure that feels more deliberate.
