The beginning
Be Jeweled arrived in 2013 from Vera Wang, the American house best known for its bridal work. The perfume was composed by Yann Vasnier, and the name says almost everything about the intention. This is jewelry as a concept applied to scent, something that catches light, draws the eye, and doesn't apologize for being decorative. Be Jeweled belongs to a portfolio that includes a flanker called Be Jeweled Rouge, both built on the same instinct toward feminine glamour without irony or distance. The fragrance positions itself as an accessory you wear, not just a background hum. It announces itself, which is the whole point of jewelry in the first place.
The composition leans on two modern musks, Cosmone and Silvanone, to anchor a structure that could have tipped too sweet without them. Cosmone brings a skin-like quality that keeps the bright fruit from feeling synthetic, while Silvanone adds a smooth softness that rounds out the composition. Pair that with Australian sandalwood in the base, and the whole thing earns a creamy warmth underneath all the fizz.
