The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Trussardi released this fragrance in 2021, working with perfumers Julie Massé and Violaine Collas to build what they described as an entirely Italian olfactory pyramid. The brief was contemporary femininity, free and assured. The composition opens with bright citrus that delivers immediate clarity, while aromatic herbs provide a green, slightly herbal lift that keeps the scent feeling lively rather than straightforward. A suede base anchors the fragrance, adding warmth and texture without the weight typically associated with leather notes. The result is a scent that walks the line between breezy and grounded, something that works across seasons. The interplay between the fresh top notes and the tactile suede creates a versatile composition that feels both modern and rooted.
The composition pairs lavender and suede, two notes that approach the fragrance from different directions. Lavender brings freshness and an almost aromatic quality, while suede adds warmth and a tactile, intimate character. The combination creates unexpected harmony. White dahlia in the heart is less common than jasmine or rose in feminine fragrances, and it contributes a sophisticated, slightly floral quality that adds depth without tipping into sweetness.
The evolution
The opening delivers immediate brightness from mandarin orange and neroli, but a tomato note provides a green, slightly unexpected quality that keeps the citrus from reading as generic. As the initial phase settles, the heart emerges with jasmine and white dahlia softening the composition, while lavender adds an aromatic lift that prevents the middle from going too sweet. This heart phase is where the fragrance establishes its character, floral without being sweet, fresh without being cold. The drydown introduces suede, joined by violet and patchouli. The suede reads as clean and refined, closer to fine leather goods than heavy skin. Violet wraps everything in powder, and patchouli adds warmth. On most wearers this fragrance stays intimate, with moderate sillage that someone standing nearby will notice but won't announce itself across a room.
Cultural impact
The fragrance occupies a particular space in the market, offering Italian craftsmanship translated into something modern and wearable. The combination of powdery violet and suede creates an elegant interplay that appeals to those seeking sophistication without heaviness. This is a scent for someone who appreciates heritage and quality materials but prefers a lighter touch. The composition balances freshness with warmth, making it versatile enough for different occasions while maintaining a distinct character.
