The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Rose Paradise arrived in 2025 as part of The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression collection. The brief was clear from the start: capture the bright, sparkling elegance of Creed's Eladaria, a fragrance built around mandarin, bergamot and creamy vanilla warmth. Perfumer Mahsam Raza, who is the nose behind this fragrance, set out to translate that breezy luxury into something more wearable. The result is a floral composition that opens with citrus snap and resolves into something quietly opulent. Vegan and formulated for the kind of longevity that holds up through a full afternoon. The structure feels studied but never rigid, each note introduced with intention rather than piled on for abundance.
What makes the structure interesting is the balance between brightness and softness. The top of mandarin and bergamot reads almost sparkling, sharp enough to cut through the heavier florals waiting behind it. Pink pepper threads warmth through that opening without tipping it into spice territory, adding a quiet ember of glow that sits just beneath the citrus. Then the heart lands: rose lifts the composition with its dewy, slightly honeyed character, carried by the green-peppy clarity of lily of the valley and the airy softness of peony.
The evolution
The first ten minutes belong to citrus. Mandarin and bergamot arrive bright, almost juicy, with pink pepper flickering just behind them like a match struck in daylight. There's a clean green edge here that keeps it from reading as simple fruit, almost a suggestion of crushed leaves or the cool air just after a citrus peel snaps. By the thirty-minute mark the roses begin to surface, not as a wall but as a slow unfurling, settling into the composition with that powdery, slightly honeyed depth it carries so well. Lily of the valley adds something cool and aqueous beside it, the kind of green that smells like stems still holding water, while peony rounds the heart out with a soft, almost translucent quality that lets the other florals breathe.
Cultural impact
Rose Paradise sits within The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression collection, taking Creed's Eladaria as its reference point. The fragrance opens with the same mandarin and bergamot snap that defines the original, carries its florals with similar weight, and grounds itself in the same creamy vanilla warmth that gives the reference its soft landing. On the skin, the citrus top reads bright and clean, almost sparkling in the first few minutes, before the rose and lily of the valley begin to rise through the composition.
