Grapefruit and frosted apple do the wake-up call, opening with a sharp citric brightness that cuts through the air with cool, almost metallic clarity. Lavender, clary sage, and violet leaf pull the temperature cooler, layering an herbal softness over the initial snap. Then cedarwood, vetiver, and ambroxan take over with the quiet confidence of something that's been here all along. The composition moves through three distinct registers: an effervescent citrus opening, a green-herbal middle phase, and a woody-mineral drydown that settles close to skin. Each transition feels deliberate, with the brighter notes giving way gradually as the base anchors the structure.
What makes this structure work is the aldehyde lift sitting on top of the green-herbal heart.
