The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
K is Pantheon Roma's tribute to Knightsbridge, the London neighborhood. The name is a single letter, a single character carrying an entire address in its geometry. Released in 2026, it lands in the house's Exclusive Collection. Knightsbridge gave the brand a new point of reference: a stretch of London where Italian craft and old money have been quietly cohabiting for decades, and K reads that meeting point in scent. The composition opens with a burst of strawberry and peach, sweetness at the surface before darker materials surface from underneath. On skin, the fruit top notes glisten for the first quarter hour, bright and almost confectionary, before the base of oud, benzoin, and tonka begins to anchor the blend.
What makes the structure worth noticing: strawberry and peach, fruits usually reserved for the cheerful flank of perfumery, are placed at the top of a leathery oriental built on oud, benzoin, and tonka. The sweetness isn't accidental, it's architectural. Heliotrope and jasmine lend the powdery, almond-edged sweetness that bridges fruit and leather, while black pepper snaps the transition. The accord the brand leans into, animal-leaning and balsamic, is rare in fruit-led compositions.
The evolution
The first thirty minutes are disarmingly friendly. Peach and strawberry arrive almost candied, lifted by saffron's dry warmth, and the whole thing reads edible, easy, a little girlish if you're not paying attention. Then heliotrope folds in, powdery and almond-sweet, and the composition tilts. Black pepper appears at the edge, not sharp, just present, and the jasmine opens in the background, creamy and indolic. By the second hour the fruit has thinned to a memory and the base takes over. Oud lands, not loud, but grounded and dry. Benzoin and tonka bring the balsamic sweetness the opening only promised. Amber wraps it. Vanilla softens every edge without flattening the structure. What stays, six hours in, is the leather-animal accord: a warm, skin-like closeness with just enough animal edge to keep it from going polite. On fabric the next morning, the benzoin and oud linger, quieter, drier, closer to incense than anything you sprayed the day before.
Cultural impact
K arrives in 2026 as part of Pantheon Roma's Exclusive Collection, exclusively available at Harrods. The single-letter naming convention (A, R, O, Z, K) sets the tone for the house's entire catalog: each fragrance is a single character, a compressed piece of writing. A becomes Ad, R becomes Roma, O and Z are characters in the same alphabet, and K adds Knightsbridge to the set. Together they read like a private index, a list of references only the brand fully controls.
