Perfumer Alina Gliwinska worked with peach and pineapple as the backbone, layering in wild orange oil for brightness and buchu for exotic depth. The result, launched in 2023, is a fragrance that is unapologetically sweet. It brings together tropical fruit brightness with deeper aromatic undertones, creating a scent that feels both vibrant and grounded. The composition demonstrates Lush's commitment to their in-house perfumery tradition, where fragrances are crafted to be distinctive and memorable rather than generic.
What makes this composition interesting is the counterweight to all that sweetness. Buchu provides a distinctive aromatic note that gives the fragrance its edge. Litsea cubeba adds a citrusy, slightly peppery edge that adds complexity to the overall profile. Frankincense and champa flower in the base give it warmth and depth, creating a foundation that supports the brighter top notes. The opening announces itself immediately. Peach and pineapple arrive together, juicy and bright, making an immediate impression. The wild orange settles into something more skin-like, less shouty. Then buchu emerges, that distinctive aromatic note that gives the fragrance its edge. It has an herbal, slightly medicinal quality that adds complexity and keeps the sweetness from overwhelming. In the base stages, frankincense and champa flower take over, wrapping the lingering fruit in warm resin. The buchu is still there, a quiet tell.

Princess Peach arrived in 2023 as part of the Lush and Super Mario Bros. Movie collaboration. The partnership brought a playful, pop-culture sensibility to Lush's ethical perfumery tradition.
