Lattafa Perfumes emerged from Dubai's fragrance scene with a focus on attar oils and bakhoor traditions, creating scents that reflect Arabian perfumery heritage. The house developed a reputation for bold, potent fragrances that drew attention across the Middle East and beyond. Musamam Black Intense represents this tradition while appealing to a contemporary global audience, and the house brought in perfumer Jordi Fernández to bridge these sensibilities with Western aromatic preferences.
The note structure reveals a deliberate philosophy of contrast and balance. The aromatic opening, driven by lavender and sage, creates an immediate tension with the warm spice of nutmeg, preventing a straightforward introduction.
