Birdwatcher arrived in 2026 as part of Floraïku's ongoing meditation on stillness and natural ritual. The house treats each fragrance as a compact, meditative composition, and this one reads like an early walk through a Mediterranean wood: the patience of observation, the hush before a wing moves. Sophie Labbé composed the scent, translating that quiet alertness into a structure that opens with green clarity and folds inward toward something sunnier. The top notes arrive cool and herbaceous, almost like crushed laurel carried on damp air, before warmer resins and dry woods settle underneath. As the hours pass, the greener facets soften and a quieter spiciness rises, giving the composition a slow, unhurried arc that rewards staying close to the skin.
What makes this composition interesting is the tension between its top notes and its base. Cypress, juniper, and mandarin orange lead with vertical, almost bracing greenness. The heart softens with clary sage, peppermint, and Provençal lavender, aromatics that read both herbal and clean.
