Magia Maestrale is a 2022 composition by Hamid Merati-Kashani, the perfumer behind Fabbrica Della Musa. The fragrance draws on the restless energy of wind moving through citrus groves and ancient woods, channeling that motion into a citrus-spice-woods structure with real presence. Calabrian lemon opens with a bright, sharp charge, quickly followed by mandarin orange and the peppery heat of Ceylon cinnamon, a combination that warms the top without tipping into sweetness. The citrus doesn't disappear so much as fuse with the spice, both running at the same temperature through the opening act. As the composition settles, Provençal lavender and Egyptian geranium surface at the heart, cooling the cinnamon's edge into something more herbal and slightly green.
What gives this composition its particular character is the breadth of sourcing packed into a single bottle. Calabrian lemon brings an Italian brightness, Ceylon cinnamon adds South Asian warmth, while Egyptian geranium and Ecuadorian gaiac wood push the composition toward deeper, more resinous territory.
