The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The concept: distilling a feeling into its most essential form. EPC wanted a fragrance that said one clear thing and said it well. Not a fragrance that layers fifty ideas until nothing stands out. The nut accord carries that ambition. Pistachio and hazelnut share a family, both rich, both slightly sweet, both capable of reading as green or as creamy depending on what surrounds them. EPC paired them with fig leaf and pistachio leaf to keep the green side present, then anchored everything in cedarwood, benzoin, and vetiver to prevent it from becoming a dessert. The result is a fragrance that wears more like a memory of nuts than a bottle of nuts, present but not sweet, aromatic but not aggressive.

The evolution
The opening arrives bright and herbal. Pistachio leaf and fig leaf announce themselves immediately, the smell of a green nut cracked open in the open air. Within minutes, the hazelnut enters and softens the edges. The herbal quality doesn't disappear; it transforms into something creamier, warmer. Cedarwood arrives in the heart and adds a woody backbone that keeps everything grounded. By the drydown, benzoin and vetiver take over, warm, slightly smoky, intimate. The hazelnut arrives and everything softens. The green doesn't disappear, it transforms into something creamier, warmer. Cedarwood enters the conversation and adds a woody backbone that prevents the nuttiness from becoming edible.
Cultural impact
Pistachio Haiku invites that conversation. The fragrance creates space for the wearer to explore the tension between green freshness and warm depth without resolution. It asks you to notice how these opposing qualities coexist, inviting you to discover what the scent means to you. The house's approach to fragrance as something to be engaged rather than merely worn runs through this creation.
