Untold Eau Fraîche arrived in 2015 as a member of Elizabeth Arden's Untold range, taking the concept into lighter, more transparent territory. Where the original Untold leans warm and enveloping, this version opens things up with fresh greens, soft musks, and a woody undertone that lets air move through the composition. The house has long favored wearable compositions over heavy complexity, and this release stays true to that instinct. Untold Eau Fraîche reads as the daytime sibling: built around pear and mandarin at the top, a clean freesia and orange blossom heart that stays lifted rather than indolic, and a base of cashmere wood, vetiver, and musk that grounds everything without weighing it down.
What makes the composition work is the way it balances the brightness of mandarin and white tea against a white floral heart without tipping into soapy territory. Freesia, lily of the valley, and orange blossom are notoriously tricky to keep fresh.
