The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
MCX began as a question: what happens when you turn up the volume on a beloved signature? Mercurial Cashmere had earned its reputation for charm and complexity. Sofia Bardelli took that foundation and pushed it further, a 35% concentration that blooms with deeper florals, richer gourmand notes, and a sumptuous woody-oud base. Only 100 bottles exist, each engraved with a unique edition number. This isn't a flank. It's a statement.
The heart of MCX is where it earns its name. Iris and tuberose don't just sit there, they lift, they powder, they soften everything around them. The ambergris adds a salty depth that keeps the florals from going too sweet. Then the base: cashmere wood, caramel, vanilla, and oud. Each bottle is numbered, making each one a collector's piece, a fragrance that's as much about possession as it is about wearing.
The evolution
MCX opens bright and sharp, pink pepper and cardamom spark against Italian bergamot. The bergamot fades first, leaving the spices to warm the skin. Then the heart arrives: iris and tuberose, powdery and soft, with violet adding a floral lift. The ambergris keeps things grounded, salty and animalic. By hour three, the base takes over: cashmere wood, caramel, vanilla, and oud. The drydown is warm, woody, and lingering, this is where the 'beast mode' earns its name. On most skin, it holds for 8-10 hours, projecting strongly for the first few hours before settling into something close and intimate.
Cultural impact
MCX is Electimuss's answer to those who wanted more from Mercurial Cashmere. It's a limited edition of 100 bottles, each numbered, making it a collector's piece. The brand's Roman inspiration, 'to choose the best', is evident in the quality of the ingredients and the care in the composition. This isn't a fragrance for everyone. It's for those who want something rare, something that lasts, something that makes a statement.
