The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Allure arrived in 2018 from Edens Garden, a women-owned, family-run aromatherapy house that built its name around essential oils before stepping into wearable perfumery. The composition came together under perfumers Charity Dykstra and Gras Martin, who worked to shape a spicy floral where every note had to come from a plant. That kind of constraint changes the architecture of the scent. There's no shortcut through an aroma chemical to smooth a rough transition, no synthetic musk to anchor the base. Instead the composition leans on what jasmine, cinnamon, and sandalwood bring on their own, and the result reads warmer and more grounded than a conventional spicy floral.
The unusual move here is labdanum sitting next to a hazelnut cocoa note in the base, a sticky, resinous pairing alongside what reads like dessert. Labdanum brings a warm, slightly leathery weight that grounds the sweeter elements, while the hazelnut cocoa tone pushes the composition away from the clean white-floral lane and into something warmer, more tactile. With cinnamon and ylang-ylang added to the picture, the heart turns rich quickly, the florals folding into the resin and the cocoa rather than floating above them. The bergamot zest up top isn't doing citrus-fresh duty either.
The evolution
The opening leans heavily into bergamot zest, bright and a little sharp against warming skin. Then jasmine arrives, full-bodied rather than airy or sheer, and cinnamon follows quickly, giving the heart an immediate warmth that shifts the mood. Rose and ylang-ylang thicken the middle into something plush, and labdanum shows up underneath like a low hum, sticky and golden, threading through the florals. The cocoa note enters before the florals fully fade, an unusual move that makes the heart feel edible for a stretch, like dessert dressed in petals. As the florals recede, sandalwood and patchouli take over the center, dry and creamy at once. Vetiver keeps the base from going too sweet, pulling the composition back toward the earth.
Cultural impact
Allure sits within a focused roster of natural perfumes from Edens Garden, a lineup that includes Rose Bergamt, Shine, Vanilla Sandalwood, XOXO, and Lavender Magnolia. Where many of those lean toward single-note clarity, Allure goes the other direction. It's a denser, spiced floral with a cocoa warmth, the kind of composition that trades simplicity for depth. The hazelnut cocoa element is what gives this one a distinct identity among the brand's offerings, layering a gourmand richness against the jasmine, cinnamon, and ylang-ylang at the heart.
