Escale aux Marquises is named for the Marquesas Islands, a remote archipelago in French Polynesia. The Les Escales de Dior collection takes its name from the concept of ports of call, travel stops along a route, each fragrance a different destination. The islands themselves are known for dramatic volcanic peaks, deep valleys, and a sense of wild beauty that has inspired artists and travelers for generations.
