The beginning
Oud Moon Vibe is part of Andreea Rada's AR Collection, a lineup of fragrances shaped through collaboration with perfumer Olaf Larsen. Larsen composed the scent with a deliberate contrast in mind: a fruit-and-spice opening that feels almost casual, set against a base dense enough to anchor the whole composition in resinous, woody territory. The fruit notes rise quickly, raspberry and cardamom sharing the front of the stage with black pepper and nutmeg, a combination that reads as spiced berry rather than straightforward sweetness. The base layer carries the architectural weight, oud and amber laid over cedarwood, oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver, and musk, with vanilla softening the edges where the woods meet the skin.
The note architecture of Oud Moon Vibe commits to its weighty base without hedging. Five top notes sit against eight base notes, with only three bridging the heart in between, and that ratio shapes everything about how the fragrance behaves on skin. The opening is unmistakably fruity, raspberry front and center, with bergamot lifting it into something brighter. Cardamom smooths the berry sweetness while black pepper and nutmeg warm the edges, producing a spiced-fruit character that holds its own against the dense foundation waiting below. The evolution
The first fifteen minutes of Oud Moon Vibe are loud and a little reckless. Raspberry and bergamot tangle with nutmeg and black pepper in a way that demands attention, and for a brief window the fruit dominates everything. Cardamom smooths the edges just enough to keep the opening from tipping into syrup, but the berry character is unmistakable. By the thirty-minute mark, that brightness begins to dim. Iris arrives first, cool and powdery, then jasmine threads through the heart with a soft, rounded presence that carries the composition downward. As the fruit recedes, the woods and resins begin to surface, and the fragrance settles into its real identity. Oud and amber share center stage, cedarwood adds a dry vertical line, and the oakmoss-patchouli-vetiver trio grounds everything in a damp, earthy register that feels far removed from the opening.
