The Siren arrived in 2021 as part of the Zedcreators Collection, a limited trio from Zaharoff that signaled a departure from the brand's more accessible offerings. Gino Percontino, working through Mane's perfumery network, composed the entry that leans most heavily into the cold-weather register, a composition that trades on richness and density rather than anything bright or immediate. The Greek mythological reference in the name sets the intention from the start: a creature whose power isn't loud announcement but slow, inevitable pull. Percontino's composition reflects that philosophy through its deliberate pacing. Less a bold opening statement and more a gradual accumulation, one built on spice, leather, and the boozy warmth of cognac that unfurls rather than announces.
What makes The Siren's structure notable is how it handles its gourmand materials in relation to everything else. Chocolate and coffee appear as heart notes, and the way they're positioned against the leather creates warmth and bitterness rather than sweetness layered on top. The almond-cardamom-coriander-ginger opening reads as distinctly savory, carrying a spiced, almost kitchen-warm quality before the cognac and bourbon vetiver in the base bring an aged, nearly charred character to the drydown.
