The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Sketchbook collection explores how desire shows up, each fragrance a different angle on the same tension. P.18 sits at the sharp end of that spectrum. The concept: beauty and pain, temptation and risk. A scent created to attract, packaged to warn. The name itself is deliberately coded, intimate. But the real statement is in the bottle. Tuscan artisans handcraft each flacon with polished glass and gold metal elements. No two are exactly alike. Each one is a unique work of art.
The tobacco-vanilla pairing is the defining choice here. It makes the fragrance, but it also polarizes. Clove adds a sharp, slightly dangerous edge that keeps the sweetness from becoming comfortable. Oakmoss grounds everything with earthiness. The double amber reinforces the Oriental character. Jasmine and violet add unexpected floral complexity to what could otherwise read as heavy. Musk and vanilla create the warm, intimate finish that stays close to skin.
The evolution
The opening lasts longer than expected. Bergamot keeps the rose and violet bright for the first twenty minutes, a gentle introduction that almost lulls you. Then clove arrives. Amber deepens. The composition shifts from floral to warm, from light to present. By the third hour, tobacco and vanilla take over. That's the signature. Smoky and sweet, slightly dangerous. It announces itself without apology. As the hours pass, musk and oakmoss settle underneath, warm, intimate, close. The trail stays close to skin for the remainder. A full workday. Into the evening. The drydown doesn't disappear; it transforms.
