Why it exists.
The beginning
Pop, Lock, & Rocket arrived in 2026 as part of The Dua Brand's Original Blend Collection, a limited release capped at 250 bottles. The fragrance was composed by Mahsam Raza, the house's perfumer, who shaped the brief with a clear gourmand direction. Cherry and lime lift off the top with a bright, almost carbonated snap, the kind of fruit opening that registers before you even bring your wrist to your nose. That fizz softens quickly into a creamy heart of coconut and vanilla ice cream, rich enough to read as dessert but balanced by the lingering citrus so it never tips into cloying. The base settles into warm sandalwood and amber, grounding the sweetness with a soft, woody hum that gives the composition its backbone.
What makes this composition interesting is how it stacks three dessert-coded materials, coconut, vanilla ice cream, and cane sugar, without letting them collapse into a single syrupy note. The pineapple nectar and white peach slice through the center, adding a tart juiciness that keeps the sweetness from going flat. The Sicilian bergamot does the same job at the top, cutting the cherry-raspberry-lollipop burst with something cold and bitter before the cream moves in. The base anchors it all: sandalwood and white musk give the sugar something dry to lean against, and amber adds a faint caramel warmth without adding more sweetness on top.
The evolution
The first ten minutes are loud. Cherry and raspberry hit together with lime's acidity, and there's a brief lollipop sparkle that reads almost synthetic in the best way. Bergamot floats underneath, keeping the fruit from going flat. By the thirty-minute mark the citrus has burned off and the coconut starts to pull weight, creamy and slightly tropical, with pineapple nectar brightening one corner and white peach softening the other. Vanilla ice cream shows up around the hour mark, and the whole thing starts to smell like the inside of a beachside ice cream shop. By hour three the fruit has mostly receded and the composition sits in its drydown: cane sugar and amber doing the sweet work, sandalwood adding a woody creaminess, white musk smoothing the edges. On fabric the next morning, what's left is a faint vanilla-amber warmth with a clean musk finish, polite and close to the skin.
